Retention Principle
Elf Messenger retains family and child-related data only for as long as needed to provide the service, support parent requests, and meet legal obligations.
Typical Retention Categories
- Active family conversation content: retained while account is active.
- Support records: retained for operational and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Security and abuse logs: retained for safety and fraud prevention for limited periods.
Parent-Initiated Deletion
Parents can request full account and child-data deletion at any time. See Account and Child-Data Deletion.
Post-Deletion Window
Some data may remain in backups for a limited time before permanent purge, consistent with secure backup lifecycle controls.
